A Study in 3Fly is the first in a series of magic downloads which aims to elevate timeless coin magic plots to new heights. The emphasis is on creating stunning presentations by incorporating imaginative routining and seamless sleight-of-hand and marrying these up with the perfect gimmick for each routine.
Anyone who has attempted to learn a Three-Fly routine will know that it has several inherent issues. Collin teaches how to iron these out to create wonderfully magical presentations, rather than performing the classic guessing game of “Where is the magician hiding the coin?”
Gimmick 1 explores the underused TUC coin, which, in Collin’s opinion, is the perfect coin for Three Fly.
The plot is simple.
- The coins appear one by one.
- They travel across from hand to hand.
- They vanish one by one in an ultra-clean manor.
There is a “real-world” live performance for authenticity, followed by a studio performance for the perfect learning aid.
Collin then teaches an easy 3Fly, which is accessible for the competent beginner before elevating the routine with a more advanced handling.
